Nail Care Instructor
Description: The Nail Care Instructor course is a 250-Hour Program. Student will learn the skills and techniques needed to become an effective nail care instructor. The students in training will be made familiar with the GA cosmetology and barber laws and regulations. They will learn how to effectively deliver the teaching materials in ways that the students can comprehend. Student learns how to develop curriculum, prepare lesson plan and how to present the lesson classroom management and discipline and demonstration and lectures. And finally, applying all learned knowledge in practicing his/her teaching.
Objectives: The course is designed to prepare students with the skills, knowledge, and abilities to not only pass the Georgia state licensing examinations but to also become an effective instructor. Upon the completion of the course and obtained licensure, students will be able to:
1. Have a positive attitude and outlook as an instructor.
2. Communicate effectively with co-workers and students.
3. To give students professional advice on topics related to the filed.
4. Utilize tools and techniques to deliver lessons more effectively.
5. Adopt and solve problems that arise from the teaching environment. To ensure students in training as instructors remain in good standard with GA State Board requirements, students are encouraged to stay informed and obtain necessarily Continued Education Hours for licensing renewal.
The course consists of 250 hours Including the following:
GA Law and Regulation in Cosmetology and Barbering
Understanding state laws and regulations is crucial for any professional in the cosmetology and barbering industry. This course module covers:
- Overview of GA State Laws: Detailed study of the Georgia State Board of Cosmetology and Barbers' rules and regulations.
- Licensing Requirements: Procedures and requirements for obtaining and maintaining a professional license in Georgia.
- Compliance and Enforcement: Understanding the enforcement of laws and the consequences of non-compliance.
- Health and Safety Standards: Regulations regarding sanitation, sterilization, and workplace safety to ensure a safe environment for clients and practitioners.
- Ethical Practices: Emphasis on ethical practices within the industry, including client confidentiality, professional conduct, and business ethics.
Nail Teaching Principles
This course module focuses on the foundational principles of teaching specific to the nail care profession:
